Verified Purchase. Truly an amazing game from a production viewpoint. Not many games that were taken this seriously on the NDS. I'm sure it was meant for DS gamers wanting a more "mature" game. If curiosity of whether the DS version is superior to iPod version brought you here, it is a matter of taste.
NDS version has rougher graphics, but a physical game pad. The iPod version has much smoother graphics and even voice acting DS game doesn't , so it has higher production values. However, I preferred the DS game because opinion it plays better. Lengthy game for casuals, maybe short for gamers. Fun game, considering it's portable, overall. Very simple. To the point.
Not much story line. Despite this, however, I had a good little time playing it. You have five upgrades that come from obtaining blue dots showing you the path to the end of the game. So you can't not I know DN, just felt it necessary be fully upgraded by the time the final boss battle occurs, which is so repetitive, you wonder if the game can actually end the way it did.
Despite its shortcomings, though, I did have a good 5 hours of fun playtime, so I'll go 3 out of 5 simply for the ty for taking up some of my time aspect. One person found this helpful.
If you enjoyed the first AC game and wanted to know more of Altair's backstory then this game is for you. The DS makes good use of its system's strengths and the stylis you have to wonder why it took this long for a game to take advantage of the touch screen. Altair's Chronicles fleshes out some of Altair's history showing more of his life one year before AC1.
This game is one of the better spin off games in a series. Glad to have found the original, even better price. Perfect condition, delivered promptly. Will use again as I look for other titles for my son. Exactly what we expected. The quality can't be better.
